PerfProbe for Palworld
======================
TSR/FSR2 upscaling controls for Palworld - big GPU power/heat savings with
near-native image quality. Built for AMD GPUs (where the game hides its
upscaler options), works on anything. Plus Ring of Mercy quality-of-life.

WHAT IT DOES
- Renders the game internally at a lower resolution (default 60%) and upscales
with UE5's TSR. On a 6900 XT at 3440x1440 this took GPU draw from ~310W to
~100W with barely visible quality loss.
- IN-GAME CONTROLS (new in v48): press Esc and open the "PerfProbe" tab (next
to Player List / Server Info). Upscaler selector (TSR/FSR2/Native),
render-scale slider, and On/Off switches for reflections (SSR), motion blur,
bloom, depth of field, and lens flares. Changes apply live, save
automatically, and re-apply themselves a few seconds after every launch.
- RING OF MERCY: a green/red dot above the Pal Sphere slot shows whether the
Ring of Mercy (non-lethal damage) is equipped. Mouse Button 5 equips/
  unequips it without opening your inventory (rebindable in the PerfProbe tab;
the binding persists). It refuses to unequip when your backpack is full so
the ring can never be lost.

INSTALL
1. Make sure Palworld is NOT running.
2. Double-click "Install PerfProbe.cmd".
3. Confirm the detected Palworld folder (or paste the right one).
4. Launch Palworld from Steam like normal. Press Esc -> PerfProbe tab.

NOTES
- Uses UE4SS (the Unreal modding framework, Palworld build) - installed for
you if you don't already have it.
- Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt for the .cmd: More info -> Run anyway.
- The old always-on-top desktop panel no longer opens by itself. It still
ships; to open it, write the word panel into
  Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\PerfProbe\exec.txt while the game runs.
- Multiplayer: fine for co-op and community servers that allow client mods.
The ring toggle uses the game's own validated equip calls (server-checked).
- Palworld updates may temporarily break UE4SS until its maintainers update
it; if the game crashes on launch after a patch, delete dwmapi.dll from
Pal\Binaries\Win64 until an updated UE4SS build is out.

UNINSTALL
Delete from your Palworld folder:
- Pal\Binaries\Win64\dwmapi.dll
- Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\ (the whole folder)
- Engine\Config\ConsoleVariables.ini
